The Garden Rooms - The Ultimate Wedding Guide
If you’re looking for a unique wedding venue that is in the heart of Ouseburn, then look no further than The Biscuit Factory’s Garden Room which is a recent addition to galleries spaces to say ‘I do’. This venue feels like a little piece of curated wild that is bright and takes your breath away when you walk into its beautiful main room. From small ceremonies of 40 guests to evening receptions of 250+, The Biscuit Factory has a collection of rooms and private hire options gives you the opportunity to ‘create a wedding day as intimate or extravagant as you choose’.
Here’s my full rundown of what to expect from hosting your special day at The Garden Room which is just outside of the city centre.
The thing that first gets you is the light. Whether it’s a grey day or a sunny day the main space is light and airy and makes for such an atmospheric space for your guests to walk into. The ceremony is styled with see-through chairs which continues to throw around the colours from the skylights, and because of the already full of foliage environment it needs little styling but drapery from the beams adds a gorgeous touch or if you decide to go for a colourful floral arrangement it just pops out and really makes an incredible statement.
The Spaces
There are 2 bars in the venue, at the entrance of the building and a larger bar inside the main room. The primary bar acts as a welcoming space for your guests before your ceremony and at changeover times and is a beautifully marbled and contains some lovely sculptural pieces which remind you that you are immersed in a cultural hub and the gallery is open to visit next door should you guests wish to have a wonder in during any of the quieter moments of the day. The larger bar is host during your wedding breakfast and nighttime celebrations.
The main space is where your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception take place, the team have it down to a perfect switch so that changeovers in the same space are quick and elegantly done. The venue is well designed and well utilised for a compact wedding venue and can house 50-100+ guests without any fuss, so if you’re going for an intimate ceremony or a full house you are well looked after.
The Garden Rooms has beautifully designed small outdoor area which looks like an extension of its tropical interior, with its Moroccan holiday vibes its a great place for your guests to get some air and chill out during room changes. And its situated right next to some great urban city spaces and big murals for some of those city centre portraits to get a variation of portrait for your gallery.
Packages
The Garden Rooms has three main packages to choose from, The Essential, Classic or Luxury which ranges from £120 to £319 per person, rising of course between 2026 and 2028 dates, but they also can offer a bespoke day for you if you get in touch with them and let them know about your plans they can work with your vision, including offering a reception only plan. You can upgrade your package and add drapes like here at James and Jasem’s ceremony, add a cocktail or champagne reception, offer canapés to your guests and there’s a few evening food options to add too.

Are they a licensed wedding venue?
Yes, they are licensed for civil partnership ceremonies and marriages to take place at all of their spaces across the venue! You do need to arrange your registrar with Newcastle City Council directly though.

Can your pets come to your wedding?
Assistance animals are permitted, if you have a specific requirement to include your pet in your celebrations please speak to their team about whether that can be accommodated.
Is confetti allowed?
They don’t allow confetti inside the venue.
Will there be other events or weddings on the same day?
The Biscuit Factory operates several event spaces so there is a chance another event will happen in another area of the building. Where this is the case their team will have staff members positioned to direct attendees to the relevant entrances if needed.
What’s the nearest train station to The Biscuit Factory?
The nearest train station is Central Station which is a 5 minute drive or a 25 minute walk. The nearest metro station is Manors which is a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk.
Do you have a car park?
They have multiple car parks next to and around The Biscuit Factory. .
Accessibility & Accommodation
The Garden Room is just a short stroll from Newcastle's city centre, meaning the venue is really easily accessible for guests traveling from near or far.
The Biscuit Factory doesn't offer on-site accommodation, there are a ton of hotels and guesthouses nearby.
There’s plenty of parking, and the venue's central location has easy access to public transport and taxi services.
The site itself is all on one level, with ramps in small declines across the space, so is also great if you or any of your guests have any accessibility needs.
