Golden Hour Magic with Charlotte & Alex – South Shields Couple’s Shoot
There’s something really special about a couple’s shoots. No pressure, no timelines, no distractions - just the two of you, a beautiful setting, and a bit of time to breathe and enjoy each other’s company.
I met up with Charlotte and Alex on the beach at South Shields for their pre-wedding shoot ahead of their October wedding, and it was pure golden hour gloriousness.
We weren’t sure the light was going to behave - high sun can be a bit of a challenge, especially on wide open beaches like this - but we waited it out, and ohhh boy, it delivered.
These two were an absolute dream to photograph. Totally open, trusting, and up for anything. From splashing around at the water’s edge to just slowing down and soaking in the sunset, they made it so easy. I’m already counting down the days to their wedding.
Golden hour is one of those things that you can never quite guarantee (especially in the North East), but when it hits, it’s worth every second of waiting around. It gives this soft, glowy, romantic light that wraps everything in a kind of warmth that just feels like love.
I always wholeheartedly recommend couples’ shoots. They’re a scrumptious excuse to enjoy each other's company, get used to being in front of the camera before your big day, and a reason for us to hang out and get to know each other a little better!
They’re a chance to step away from the wedmin and to-do lists, and just focus on each other for a bit. Just a little pocket of time carved out for the two of you. Delish.
